I stumbled upon LoFi this last year and fell in love with it for work-focus listening. LoFi’s considered a subgenera of downtempo electronic music that brings imperfect, unpolished sounds and beats to the forefront of its songs. It has a very chill, nostalgic vibe perfect for hazy summer afternoons and frosty winter mornings alike (at least for me).
Homework Radio and the LoFi Christian are YouTube channels that produce a good amount of LoFi playlists. The upside: no ads interrupting your chill time (praise the Lord). I’ve noticed a handful of tracks recycled in HR’s various playlists, but I love their “Animal – Only” characters and short-storytelling! The LoFi Christian has also become my favorite for instrumental church favorites, and that says a lot for a gal who loves Bethel’s Without Words albums.
